Inside The Medieval Mind on BBC4 and iPlayer

OU on the BBC: Leading authority on the Middle Ages, Professor Robert Bartlett presents a series which examines the way we thought during medieval times. He unearths remarkable evidence of the complex passions of medieval men and women. The Church preached hatred of the flesh, promoted the cult of virginity and condemned woman as the sinful heir to Eve. Yet this was the era that gave birth to the idea of romantic love.

Norman Season on the BBC:
This summer BBC Two, BBC Four and BBC Learning will be joining forces to highlight the effect that the Normans have had on our civilisation.

The Norman Season launches Hands On History, a two-year learning campaign offering audiences inspiring opportunities to take the next step from watching programmes to discovering history around them. Hands On History will offer a range of events and activities as part of the Norman Season, including Norman walks.
